THS metal detectors allow interception of all metal and non-magnetic metals, including high-resistivity stainless steel. An automatic tracking function cancels out any absorption effect due to the product under inspection. THS metal detectors’ wide passband allows maximum-sensitivity operation at both high and low transit speeds.

The THS metal detector electronics unit can either be programmed locally, via a keypad and display of 80 alphanumeric characters, or be controlled from a remote computer via a standard RS232 serial interface, or be linked into a local computer network through a RS485 interface.

The THS-Production management software (optional) provides statistical data on the actions carried out by the detector, on the periodic tests and on variations in the parameters, in line with ISO 9001 specifications on traceability data.

The THS metal detector is also available in the smaller THS/SL  version, which allows installation in environments with limited space and complete integration with other systems such as checkweigher and price labelling machines.

The THS/3F metal detector is recommended for use on multi-product lines, where the individual products have very different conductivity characteristics. Under these circumstances, the THS/3F allows maximum sensitivity for detection of contaminating metals, both magnetic and non-magnetic and including high resistivity stainless steels, to be maintained. The automatic frequency selection function allows the THS/3F to choose the optimum frequency for the product in transit during the autolearn phase.

The THS/G is designed to inspect powders, granules and other loose materials transported in free-fall through tubes. When fitted with a deflector, the THS/G becomes a system that detects and removes any contaminating metals, both magnetic and non-magnetic.

Digital analysis of the signal provided by the antenna (DSP) allows extremely high levels of sensitivity, immunity to interference and operational stability to be achieved.

The very high detection speed of the THS/G allows the contaminated portion of product to be removed without slowing down the production flow.

Alternatively, when mounted on a packaging machine, the THS/G system is able to send a command to produce a double layer of packaging around the contaminated product. This can later be identified and removed from the production cycle manually.

The THS/G system is designed to communicate with external control systems, either connected directly or via a communications network.

The CEIA TE digital metal detector belongs to the family of micro-sensitive bar metal detectors for the textile industry. The high quality and reliability of this metal detectors are universally recognised by leading world manufacturers of industrial machinery. These devices are the ideal means of protection for production lines against accidental damage caused by pieces of metal which can enter the manufacturing process along with the material.

The TE digital metal detector signals the presence of magnetic and nonmagnetic metal fragments, both on the exterior and inside the product, and stops the machine. Sensitivity can be adjusted digitally depending on the size of the metal fragments which must be intercepted, and a special detection memory function also reveals the passage of several consecutive fragments.

The compact nature of these devices facilitates installation where space is at a premium. Digital signal analysis allows the user to optimise detection with respect to the product’s speed of passage and the metals to be intercepted, thus obtaining the best possible immunity to any external interference.

By avoiding damage to the production line and the consequent interruptions to the manufacturing process, the TE Digital Metal Detector can pay for itself with a few interceptions.

CEIA TT/HS metal detectors detect metal contaminants accidentally present in pneumatic lines, with levels of sensitivity, immunity to interference and response speeds designed to satisfy the strictest Quality Control requirements.

TT/HS metal detectors, designed for operation in high speed production lines, allow interception of all metal and non-magnetic metals, including high-resistivity stainless steel.

The apparatus is composed of an electronic control unit and a probe which is positioned in the path of the product to be inspected.

DSP (Digital Signal Processing) of the metal detector antenna signals allows a very high degree of sensitivity to be achieved for all metals.

Microcomputer control and complete programmability simplify installation, and in certain applications can offer the capability of operating as production line controller using suitable sensors and actuators.

The CEIA TSM digital metal detector is suitable for intercepting magnetic and non-magnetic metal fragments of medium to large dimensions in industrial, textile, chemical, mining, foodstuffs and other products, both for quality control and machinery protection.

The product to be inspected is carried on a conveyor belt through the detector probe, which is connected to the electronic control unit.

The TSM metal detector probe unit can be opened up, thereby allowing installation on conveyor belts without cutting them.

Detection sensitivity and other operational settings can be pre-selected digitally using function keys and alphanumeric display.

The TSM digital metal detector features extremely robust construction, which allows its installation in difficult environments, both inside and outside, without reduction in its operational features.

Digital processing of signals guarantees the highest immunity to external electromagnetic interference.

The TSM digital metal detector is tested to conform to electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards required for the CE mark.

CEIA THS/A is a metal detector for universal use, with a tunnel that can be opened if the conveyor belt can not be interrupted for installation purposes.
